C'est grâce à eux que ce blog existe, fallait bien les caser quelque part ... donc petits montages période skinhead à glam rock.. plus une belle video de "Mama weer all crazee now".
I was a T.Rex fan at the time and you weren't allowed to be both a T.Rex fan AND a Slade fan. I was wrong: Slade's singles win (although they never made an LP as satisfying as "Electric Warrior", or even "The Slider"). Plus, I had dinner with Slade once and they were really nice blokes, so thumbs up all round.
It's easy to gloss over the importance of Slade. If someone discovered this as by an unknown group, the walls of Junkshop collectomania would be shaking to its boot stomping. I remember in '72 an article in Rock & Folk where the theme was a debate: "for or against Slade" and a contributorsto the discussion said the Pink Floyd was superior as their songs had more chords!
